Her newest book, The Desert Mothers: Spiritual Practices from Women of the Wilderness, was published by Morehouse in early 2007. Both Beginning Again and The Desert Mothers are now available in audio CD format and as MP3 files from Amazon.com or Itunes. In the fall of 2008, Mary will be teaching an online course, "The Desert Mothers," for the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest's Online School for Spirituality and Mission. A non-credit offering, ten weeks in length, this course is open to any who are interested in the topic. In the spring she will offer an introduction to the life and writings of Tomas Merton."

A new
review of Beginning Again on
the SDI website states, "Earle shows us how even the most painful,
frustrating limits, when used as the raw material for a life of faith,
can set us free.
She and her husband, Doug, live in San
Antonio with their border collie, Maggie, and their six-toed cat,
Cuthbert, and a "grand-cat" named Leftovers. |
